Magee Road Barn and Shed
Squamish, British Columbia
This project involves the design of a new exposed timber barn and truss at an organic farm in the Squamish Valley using timbers that were harvested from the site. The barn is supported by a series of feature pyramidal trusses that intend to provide a cathedral like experience, whereas the shed structure is more of a traditional post and beam structure with a multi-slope roof. Each of the new structures are positioned around the perimeter of the existing farm and are designed to speak to the designs of the other farm structures, have a low impact on the arable land, and increase the farm's production capabilities.
