With deep experience in the design of multi-storey mass timber buildings as well as the design of temporary structural systems for mass timber construction, Workshop Engineers worked closely with Seagate Mass Timber on the latter and developed a sequencing, lifting, and temporary bracing structural system for this landmark mass timber building. INTRO Cleveland (previously know as Market Square) is a 512,000 square foot mass hybrid structure featuring 7 levels of mass timber construction. Workshop Engineers took particular care developing repeatable, cost-effective bracing systems for the large timber grid, as well as prefabrication and hoisting input on steel-timber hybrid trusses spanning 50’ on the upper level of the structure.
