Deadline: Open until filled
Workshop Engineers is looking to hire an intermediate structural engineer with 3+ years of experience in structural architectural building design and registration with EGBC as a P.Eng. or EIT on route to P.Eng. You would play an important role for the Workshop team by managing engineering projects and building client relationships.
Your day-to-day would include managing and facilitating multiple projects from schematic design to project completion with oversight from senior staff. The successful applicant should feel proficient in structural design with various materials including concrete, steel and timber, feel comfortable generating structural schemes, and have a strong base understanding of project delivery stages, project schedules, and budgets. A strong working knowledge of applicable local codes and standards is necessary for this role. Our goal would be to provide the mentorship needed to further develop your fundamentals of structural engineering and progress your career.
Workshop Engineers is a collaborative, dynamic, and detail-oriented office. The successful candidate should approach this role with an eagerness to think creatively and ability to remain organized while contributing to multiple projects simultaneously.
A key aspect of this work is collaborating with other staff members and external project teams, including Architects. Workshop is looking for an intermediate engineer that has strong communication skills, and a thoughtful, humble mindset.
Applicants should have hands-on relevant structural design experience including gravity and lateral systems, an understanding of construction methods and sequencing and relevant construction-phase engineering experience.
